Scholarships Available to Deaf Education and Hearing Science Students
Sunshine Cottage School Scholarship (Competitive Scholarship)
Purpose – To provide competitive graduate scholarships in deaf education to students enrolled in the teacher training program associated with Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children
Eligibility - Full-time or part-time enrollment in the Master of Deaf Education and Hearing Science degree program; good academic standing, e.g., no disciplinary actions; financial need, as determined by the UT Health Science Center Office of Financial Aid
Selection Criteria – May include: grade point average (incoming undergraduate G.P.A or the UT Health Science Center graduate G.P.A in Deaf Education and Hearing Science); financial need; educational potential; promised commitment to teach in an oral deaf education setting for at least one year in the state of Texas following graduation; special circumstances as determined by the Deaf Education and Hearing Science Scholarship Committee
Application – Submit the following to the program director: scholarship application, one-page typed essay, two letters of recommendation, statement promising to teach in an oral deaf education setting for at least one year following graduation

John H. White, Sr. Memorial Scholarship (Competitive Scholarship)
